Giã nát rễ ngò rí với tiêu sọ và tỏi. Tôm bóc bỏ vỏ, bỏ chỉ đen giữ lại phần đuôi tôm cho đẹp mắt. Ướp tôm với hỗn hợp vừa giã, 1 muỗng cà phê nước mắm, 1 muỗng cà phê dầu mè trong khoảng 10 phút.
Chuẩn bị vỏ bánh đa nem (spring roll). Nếu không có bạn có thể dùng vỏ bánh đa nem, hoặc vỏ bánh pía để cuốn tôm. Tiến hành cuốn 1 con tôm với 1 cái bánh tráng cho đến hết nguyên liệu.
